This picture shows the transom right after the first two beams were installed. After installing the first beam, you wet out the second beam with resin, lay another layer of mat just as you did the first one, and then install the second transom beam. Now HURRY and install bolts. Install bolts BEFORE you put on the C-Clamps. If you do the clamps first, you won’t be able to line up all the holes. DON’T TIGHTEN any bolts until they are all through and nuts are loosely secured to each. Then tighten the bolts very tight (until the washers are squeezing into the wood). Then apply C-Clamps along the top. Then use the screws and work your way down and outward as you put in the screws. This will squeeze the extra resin toward the edges.
